The State Large Ensemble Festival will pause for the 2024-2025 school year.

 

MMEA reintroduced the State Large Ensemble Festival in the Spring of 2024. However, due to various logistical and financial challenges, the Board made the decision to pause the event for the 2024–2025 school year. This memo was previously shared outlining the reasons behind this decision. The festival will remain on pause for the 2025–2026 school year as well. A dedicated workgroup continues to engage in thoughtful discussions about the future of the event. Educators who wish to share feedback for the workgroup’s consideration should contact the president of the appropriate component (MBDA, MCEA, or MODA). MMEA will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
